Infection Prevention Nurse; RN; Day Shift + On-Call

Role Overview:

This position involves collaborating with facility leadership to develop, implement, and evaluate infection control programs, including antibiotic stewardship, isolation management, and COVID-19 prevention. The role includes overseeing employee health, vaccination programs, and monitoring healthcare-acquired infections, outbreaks, and transmission-based precautions. Responsibilities also encompass conducting audits, risk assessments, and participating in the QAPI committee.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred
• Minimum 5 years of recent clinical nursing experience, with prior infection prevention experience in a skilled nursing facility
• Current Missouri nursing license and CPR/AED certification
• Infection Prevention certification highly desirable
• Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple activities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR systems
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, push, and pull residents and equipment, with proper techniques and assistance as needed
• Understanding of geriatric care needs, tact, discretion, and cultural sensitivity

Develop infection control strategies, manage vaccination and employee health programs, monitor infection trends, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead infection control meetings.
