Role Overview

Provides direct patient care on a telemetry unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating them on illness management and post-treatment needs. Ensures safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development.

• Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and barriers to involvement.
• Participates in activities that promote safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safe practices at all times.

• Minimum education:
  
  Nursing diploma or associate's degree; BSN preferred.
• Licensure:
  Valid RN license.
• Experience:
  
  No prior experience required; less than 2 years preferred if holding a bachelor's degree.
• Preferred skills include telemetry experience and a BSN degree.
