Role:
Outpatient RN CAP 2 in a float pool, responsible for delivering and coordinating competent patient care during hemodialysis treatments.
Responsibilities:Conducts patient assessments, develops care plans, administers medications, and monitors treatment effectiveness. Collaborates with the healthcare team, educates patients and families, directs daily dialysis procedures, and ensures compliance with policies and regulations. Acts as a leader, mentor, and resource for staff, and participates in quality improvement initiatives and training.
Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited nursing school, current state licensure, CPR/BLS certification, with at least 2 years of nephrology nursing experience. Entry-level RN with a minimum of 3 months dialysis experience may qualify for leadership roles after training.
Skills:Strong clinical assessment, delegation, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting and prolonged standing. Knowledge of dialysis procedures, medication administration, and emergency response.
Additional Duties:Supervision of care staff, documentation, laboratory procedures, patient education, and participation in facility projects. Flexibility to work in various locations and support the team as needed.
