American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of high-risk cardiac experience and an active IL RN license.

• Acute care Magnet hospital setting on a 40-bed Telemetry unit within a 222-bed facility
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:45-7:15)
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within scope to all inpatient units at both campuses
• 36 hours per week on a 3x12 schedule
• Epic charting system used

• Active IL RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with strong high-risk cardiology background
• Experience managing cardiac drips, sheath pulls, and central line management required
• Skills required include BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, high flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care, and non-invasive airway management
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• Pre/post cardiac surgery experience required
• Wound care/wound vac experience required
• Isolation precautions and PPE protocols knowledge required

• Provide telemetry nursing care to high-risk cardiac patients including drip management and sheath removal
• Navy scrub color required
• Must be clean-shaven or have facial hair compatible with respirator fit testing, no exceptions
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to this health system as a traveler
• Standard travelers may stay for up to 18 months and must take a 3-month break in service afterward
