Sales Associate - Building Materials - Closing

As a Customer Service Associate at Lowe’s, your primary mission is to provide friendly and professional service to customers, helping them locate and select the right products, manage merchandise, and ensure orders are processed accurately. You will work in one of several departments, such as Appliances, Tools, or Paint, and support your team by cross‑training in additional areas.

• Welcome customers and respond to questions
• Assist customers in locating and handling merchandise
• Restock shelves and maintain product availability
• Process orders and deliveries accurately
• Cross‑train in other store departments as needed
• Prepare merchandise based on customer needs (e.g., tint paint, cut blinds)
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout
• Complete additional duties as assigned

• At least 6 months of experience using a computer for data entry and basic arithmetic
• At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets
• Ability to stand, sit, and perform job duties for prolonged periods
• Capacity to lift 25 lbs unassisted or 25‑75 lbs with assistance
• Good reading, writing, and basic math skills

• 6 months of retail or customer service experience
• Bilingual skills
• Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, plumbing, electrical)

This role does not require regular travel, although occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.

Work may involve indoor and outdoor conditions, varying temperatures, and exposure to noise. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, using tools and teams as needed.
