Position Overview

Through advances in cancer detection and treatment guidance, we will help eradicate the disease and the suffering it causes. A Screening Solutions Specialist (SSS) is a front‑line position that drives product growth of Cologuard in medical practices to meet sales goals within the assigned geography and delivers diagnostic solutions by establishing the importance of Colorectal Cancer (CRC) diseases and screening.
This role aims to enhance customer relationships to drive growth and revenue while improving patient outcomes through integration of Exact Sciences’ solutions.
The field‑based territory includes Belleville, IL and surrounding communities. Key outside cities include East St. Louis, Shiloh, Fairview Heights, O’Fallon, Columbia, Waterloo, Freeburg, Mascoutah, and Sparta, with Chester as the southernmost point of coverage.
Essential Duties- Generate deep insight into local healthcare ecosystems and market landscape to identify opportunities to enhance the system of care and improve patient outcomes through integration of Exact Sciences’ solutions.
- Analyze the treatment journey across the local system of care to identify account opportunities to work with HCPs to improve clinical decision‑making.
- Build a network of relationships within accounts to gain insight into system, customer, and patient unmet needs, capturing information on customer interactions in the CRM database.
- Synthesize data from formal and informal sources to understand the evolving local care system, leveraging tools such as Engage (CRM), Excel, Tableau, and research to make data‑driven decisions on account potential and opportunities.
- Develop and implement business and account plans to increase visibility and awareness of the company’s products and maximize opportunities for sales growth.
- Create business and account plans based on opportunities to drive acceptance of Cologuard and other Exact Sciences solutions.
- Lead implementation of these plans, devising customer‑specific pre‑ and post‑call engagement approaches in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Inform, educate, and enable target physician and stakeholder groups about Exact Sciences products and value propositions.
- Proactively drive business growth by focusing on high‑potential customers and initiating connections to uncover unmet needs.
- Seek regular feedback from customers regarding their experience, service, satisfaction, and perceived value.
- Lead the successful execution of account plans through collaboration with key internal stakeholders.
- Ensure targeted tactics deliver business goals in coordination with stakeholders such as Account Managers, Marketing, and Sales Operations.
- Communicate customer needs and opportunities to internal stakeholders to mobilize resources and shape solutions.
- Maintain highest ethical and professional standards, consistent with Exact Sciences’ policies and regulatory requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including questioning and listening.

- Strong presentation skills: ability to convey concepts concisely through telephone and face‑to‑face interactions.

- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, Science, or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
