Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care, including children’s emergency care. It provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. The hospital is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and a designated Acute Stroke Ready Hospital. It was recently accredited as a Lung Cancer Screening Center and has been a Magnet‑recognized organization for nursing excellence since 2008.
Memorial Hospital Shiloh is a 94‑bed, all‑private suite hospital recognized with Magnet status in 2018 and provides emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services plus critical care.
The Security Department’s goal is to maintain a safe work environment for all staff, visitors, patients and physicians. Security is responsible for safety at the hospital, care center, medical office buildings and parking lots.
Role PurposeThe Armed Security Officer provides continuous patrols of the medical center while remaining attentive and alert to the safety and welfare of visitors, patients, volunteers, staff, employees and hospital property.
Responsibilities- Individuals must be 21 years or older to work in this position.
- Responds to emergency situations according to approved Security Department protocol.
- Ensures equipment issued and used during duties is properly maintained.
- Provides continuous security patrols of all areas of the medical center.
- Mitigates crisis situations such as code responses, disturbances, fires and disaster drills.
- Ensures proper documentation is completed on all patrol vehicles and reports incidents accurately.
- High School Diploma or GED
- No prior experience required.
- Applicable government regulations.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Associate’s Degree.
- Criminal Justice or related field.
- ASP Baton Certification.
- CPR/AED.
- IAHSS.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.
- PPCT.
- PD – PSUL.
