We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and self-motivated Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at BELOMAN, Belleville, IL
. This position is full-time, reports to our Operation Manager and is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a fleet of approximately fifty company vehicles. The successful candidate will help ensure maximum vehicle reliability, safety, regulatory compliance, and minimal downtime while maintaining accurate maintenance records.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on a fleet of fifty vehicles, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and identify mechanical, electrical, and safety-related issues.
  • Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records for all fleet vehicles.
  • Monitor vehicle condition and recommend repairs or replacements to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance schedules to ensure fleet readiness.
  • Perform emergency repairs as needed.
  • Ensure all work complies with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
  • Manage inventory of parts, tools, and shop supplies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with vehicle registration, inspections, and compliance requirements when needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of automotive or fleet maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Starting pay will be between $23-$26 per hour, based on experience. Benefits include paid holidays, medical insurance, and vacation. Some overtime and some Saturday's required.
