Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Service Technician to join our small engine repair team. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of small engines including lawn mowers, chainsaws, generators, trimmers, snow blowers, and other gas-powered equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair small engines and related equipment.
• Perform regular maintenance and tune-ups on gas and diesel-powered engines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and customer interactions.
• Provide estimates and timelines for repairs when required.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding issues and repairs.
• Stay updated on the latest service bulletins, recall notices, and repair techniques.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school.
• 2+ years of experience in small engine repair or similar mechanical work.
• Knowledge of 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 80lbs and perform physical tasks.

• Certifications from manufacturers (e.g., Briggs & Stratton, Honda, Kohler).
• Welding or fabrication experience.
• Experience with both residential and commercial-grade equipment.
