Missions

The Service enfance famille (SEF) is a component of the maison du Département solidarité (MDS). Its main mission is to implement prevention and protection measures in favor of minors, young adults, and their families, in connection with the child welfare sector and driven by the direction of childhood and family. The SEF carries out the following missions:

In prevention:

• Reinforced and intensive support for families with children under 3 years old, or under 6 years old by exception;
• Implementation of educational action measures in its territory;
• Promotion of collective actions in favor of children and families within the framework of parental support.

In protection:

• Support for children and their families, welcomed under the child welfare service, on judicial or administrative decision;
• Promotion of collective actions in favor of children and families.

Knowledge:
State diploma of social service assistant or specialized educator required; mastery of legislation related to child prevention and protection; knowledge of departmental public policies (child protection, housing, insertion, health, disability…); understanding of the essential needs of the child; knowledge of the physical, psychomotor, and relational development of the child.

Know-how:

• Mastery of the project for the child and the global approach as a referral for the path;
• Mastery of interview techniques;
• Mastery of evaluation techniques;
• Mastery of project methodology; organizational capacity; mastery of work in network/partnership; good analytical and synthesis skills; mastery of computer tools (word, excel, outlook…).

Know-how: autonomy and rigor; good relational and federating skills; mastery of written and oral communication; ability to fit into a team work dynamic; force of proposal.

Art. L332-8 provision 2 of the General Code of the Public Service - A contractual employee may be recruited for this position for the needs of the services or by the nature of the functions when no candidacy of a civil servant has succeeded. The proposed contract may not exceed three years, renewable up to a maximum duration of six years.
