Permobil has a position open for a Associate Shipping Clerk

Pay Range: $17.00 – $17.50 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift

Schedule:

Full-time Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm (Must have the ability to work overtime hours.)

Accurately verifying and preparing orders for shipment by using the established procedures of the shipping department to meet or exceed the expectations ofour customers.

Supports shipping operations by:
Preparing and verifying a shipment order (pick note order) and its item, quantity and special instruction information while producing a quick, efficient, and safework flow; ensuring that any errors are caught and reported to customer care,warehouse department, assistant team leader, and/or manager.

Maintains quality service by:
Processing outgoing time sensitive shipments using UPS, Fed Ex and ERP system; accurately entering information in the appropriate shipment software; scanning the product and labeling the shipment appropriately; keeping error rates minima land within acceptable ranges; maintaining an efficient work pace; meeting and exceeding all performance measurements: quantity, accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness of work performed.

Maintains inventory by:
Replenish supply of shipping boxes, copy paper, etc. at workstation on a daily basis.

Maintains safe and clean work environment by:
Operating all machinery in a safe and efficient manner; reporting any safety hazards to assigned supervisor or safety manager; complying with all safety and quality policies, practices and procedures.

Contributes to team effort by:
Communicating with other departments concerning orders, shipping options, charges, and transit times as requested in a knowledgeable manner; maintaining a good attendance record; proactively assisting international and inventory and accomplishing related results as needed.

Highlight cross-functional collaboration and ownership.

Emphasize continuous improvement and efficiency.

High School diploma or GED required and one to three months related experience required.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectivelypresent information in one on one and small group situations to customers,clients, and/or other employees of the organization.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, ordiagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Basic personal computer skills. (Turn computer on and run oneor two programs that are company specific and only require data entry skills).
