RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Operating Room Unit at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. The facility includes a large clinical staff and advanced treatment capabilities. In 2017, a campus expansion added a four-story building with a private ICU, new Main Entrance and Lobby, Retail Pharmacy, Patient Registration Area and expanded Emergency Department.

Required:

• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

• BSN
• Minimum one year RN experience in OR Setting scrub and circulating

Certifications and Licenses

Required:

• Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement
• BLS from the American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements:

• Evening Shift, 32 hours
• Part Time
• Monday - Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation
• On-Call

• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards; adheres to ANA ethics.
• Maintains patient safety and uses evidence-based practice; communicates with and utilizes resource persons and programs.
• Reports identified safety issues and medical errors.
• Maintains knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervises and directs delegation to appropriate team members; collaborates with other providers.
• Sets and evaluates priorities with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Uses the nursing process to individualize the plan of care and manage care with the interdisciplinary team.
