Job Overview:

Clara Maass Medical Center, located in Belleville, New Jersey, is part of RWJBarnabas Health and serves as a comprehensive care facility. The Medical Unit-II handles a variety of medical conditions and operates a 32‑bed ICU, along with other specialty services.

Required Certifications and Licenses:

• Registered Nurse licensed in New Jersey
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BCLS)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; a Master’s degree is highly preferred
• Successful completion of all orientation

Schedule:

• Full-Time
• Days: 7 am – 8 pm
• Every other weekend and holiday required

Essential Functions:

• Assist the Nursing Director in ensuring quality care delivery for all patients and units per hospital policies.
• Develop and maintain an environment that promotes compassionate care, excellence, and superior service.
• Assist in developing patient care standards, continuing education, and staff performance evaluations.
• Coordinate staffing schedules to meet department needs.
• Lead performance improvement, patient safety, and patient experience initiatives.
• Ensure unit compliance with survey readiness and environmental/equipment requirements.
• Oversee purchase order placement, ensuring timely delivery of materials or services.
• Conduct daily rounds to uphold patient throughput and intervene with ancillary and support services.
