RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Behavioral Health Unit at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. The role involves caring for a wide variety of patients within an advanced treatment setting.

Required:

• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

• BSN
• Prior experience with the psychiatric population

Certifications and Licenses

Required:

• Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement
• BLS from the American Heart Association

• Day Shift, 37.5 hours
• Full Time
• Monday - Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Includes 3 weekday shifts and 2 weekend shifts per month
• Must work 2 major holidays and 2 minor holidays per year

• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within scope of practice and regulatory standards.
• Assures safety in practice and maintains evidence-based practice.
• Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Has knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervises and directs delegation of tasks to team members.
• Sets priorities through interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilizes the nursing process for individualized patient care.
