Responsibilities

Provides coordinated, comprehensive case plan for all victims of domestic violence.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related Field preferred
  • Knowledge of the dynamics of Domestic violence
  • 40 Hour Domestic Violence Training preferred/ or must be completed within 6 months of hire
  • Bilingual English Spanish
  • Ability to work in an emotionally charged environment
  • Ability to perform duties in an independent manner with little or no supervision
  • Provide a safe, trauma-informed, non-judgmental, and empowering environment to all victims of domestic violence

Preferred:

Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable):
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

Scheduling
  • 9:00 a.m.

    - 5:00 p.m

Essential Functions
  • Conduct an intake assessment within 24 hours of the assigned case and implement a case plan based on identified client needs
  • Assist clients in achieving goals as developed in the case plan
  • Advocate for clients' behalf to other social services agencies
  • Responsible for providing direct services to clients
  • Provide crisis counseling, information, and referral when answering the hotline
  • Maintain confidential and adequate client records
  • Documents all hotline calls, incidents and observations
  • Attending all meetings and trainings related to job
  • Enters daily end of shift log for next staff person
  • Provides transportation as needed
  • Responsible for other duties assigned by the Program Director or Coordinator
