Warehouse Associate

Position Purpose

The Warehouse role at SRS Building Products focuses on managing the receiving, stocking, and distribution of materials, equipment, and products within warehouse and branch settings to effectively serve business customers.

• Receive, count, verify, and unload incoming orders and shipments, ensuring accurate logging and storage.
• Load outgoing orders onto trucks and customer vehicles, guaranteeing correct handling, documentation, and adherence to delivery schedules.
• Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment, including general yard and office maintenance.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
• Manage inventory by distributing materials to designated storage areas, conducting regular stock rotations, and reporting discrepancies.
• Provide exceptional customer service, leveraging product knowledge and communicating with customers and team members.
• Prioritize and complete tasks efficiently, consistently meeting deadlines and contributing to overall productivity.
• Collaborate with team members to foster a cooperative and productive work environment.

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) and arithmetic for inventory counts.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and effective time management.
• Reliable safety practices and ability to lift/move up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

• Forklift Operator certification.
• Experience in high‑volume distribution environments.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Spanish or another secondary language proficiency.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety and experience conducting safety audits and training sessions.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Adaptability to changing environments and resilience under pressure.

Competitive hourly wage $20.00–$24.00 per hour. Hourly associates are eligible for overtime based on business needs and may qualify for performance‑based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance, and travel expense reimbursement per company policy.
