Production Operator I
LocationBellevue, OH
Shift12‑Hour Days – 2‑2‑3 schedule; every other Saturday, Sunday, Monday required
Position OverviewThe Production Operator I reports to the Production Manager/Supervisor and is responsible for operating equipment and its processes—including preparing raw materials and packaging, unloading, packing, and labeling—while complying with legal, company rules, and EHS regulations.
Primary Responsibilities- Preparation of raw material from staging to weighing
- Operating processing equipment according to process instructions and procedures
- Monitoring equipment to keep processes running at desired rates
- Completing initial testing and release of products to ensure specifications are met
- Checking labels and packaging material for correct labeling per existing rules and instructions
- Packaging final products in accordance with H.B. Fuller quality standards
- Performing all operations in compliance with H.B. Fuller quality standards, operating procedures, and EHS rules
- Maintaining housekeeping in the area of responsibility
- Carrying out any other duties requested by the Production Manager/Supervisor
- Basic educational degree, high school diploma, or GED
- Knowledge of common software programs (MS Office)
- Ability to read and understand work orders, production process, safety regulations, and quality procedures
- Availability to work 12‑hour shifts on a 2‑2‑3 schedule
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an industrial environment with machine operating skills
- Background in plastic machine operation preferred
- Ability to be cross‑trained to operate all production process equipment
- Stand for long periods, walk and climb stairs, use hands to remove or lift boxes, stretch and reach with arms extended, stoop and bend
- Lift up to 50 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Work in normal chemical environment conditions (temperature, dust, smell, noise)
Salary: $20 per hour.
