A detail‑oriented and welcoming Part‑Time Administrative Assistant is needed to support the Development Director in advancing the mission and stewardship efforts of the parish. This position provides administrative, organizational, and communication support for fundraising activities, donor relations, events, and parish development initiatives.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, personable, and able to maintain confidentiality while working collaboratively with parish staff, volunteers, and parishioners.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Development Director
- Assist with donor communications, mailings, and acknowledgments
- Maintain donor database and records accurately and confidentially in collaboration with parish office staff
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, and meeting materials
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist parishioners and donors professionally
- Coordinate scheduling and calendar management for development activities
- Assist with volunteer coordination and committee communications
- Support stewardship and annual giving efforts
- Perform general office and clerical duties as assigned
- Prior administrative or office experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic database management
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Familiarity with Catholic parish life and commitment to the mission of the Church preferred
- Part‑time position, approximately 18 hours per week
- Initial schedule: 6‑hour shifts on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
- Schedule will evolve into a more flexible, event‑driven arrangement based on parish and development activities
- Some evening and weekend hours may be required for parish events and special functions
