Construction Safety Specialist – Crane & Rigging
Help keep some of the Midwest's largest construction projects running safely.
Ellerbrock-Norris Safety Services is seeking a Construction Safety Professional to support a client on active data center construction projects throughout the Omaha and Lincoln area.
This is a hands-on field safety position where you'll work directly alongside crews, project leadership, and general contractors to ensure safe crane, rigging, and hoisting operations on high-profile jobsites.
What You'll Do- Serve as the dedicated on-site safety representative
- Support crane, rigging, and hoisting operations through field safety oversight
- Conduct routine jobsite inspections and document findings
- Lead toolbox talks and participate in weekly safety meetings
- Verify employee training, certifications, and site orientation requirements
- Investigate incidents, complete reports, and drive corrective actions
- Coach field personnel on hazard recognition and safe work practices
- Partner closely with general contractor safety teams to maintain compliance
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction
- Construction safety experience
- Knowledge of crane, rigging, and hoisting safety
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work on active construction sites throughout Omaha and Lincoln
- Reliable transportation
- OSHA 500
- CHST, STSC, or similar safety credential
- NCCCO or equivalent crane/rigging experience
- Experience on data center, industrial, or large commercial construction projects
