KWBE and News Channel Nebraska are seeking a high-energy storyteller to serve as the Voice of Beatrice High sports and report on local news in southeast Nebraska. This role includes radio and TV play-by-play, daily sports and news updates, and video news reporting. It offers the opportunity to become the top source of information in a community passionate about sports and local news.
You’ll call the biggest moments live and tell the stories behind them across radio, TV, and digital platforms.
- Radio play-by-play for Beatrice High athletics
- TV play-by-play for Doane University (NAIA) football home games
- Monday-Friday radio news and sports updates
- Local news reporting for web, TV, and radio
- Coverage of breaking news and severe weather events
- Build relationships to become the trusted voice of the community
- Degree in broadcast journalism preferred
- Demonstrated play-by-play experience
- Ability to write at a professional level
- Understanding of social media and digital platforms
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Beatrice, Neb.
