Do you enjoy working with top-level leadership, drafting their remarks for their public engagements, and ensuring their communications are professional and on topic? FWI is searching for candidates with a keen attention to detail to support the United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Commander's public engagements. As a Speech Writer, you will provide executive-level communication support, to include keynote addresses, journal articles, remarks, talking points, and toasts.

Work Schedule and LocationOn-Site This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 730AM CT to 430PM CT at Offutt Air Force Base.
- Prepare up to 60-minute speeches for USSTRATCOM Senior Leadership, including conducting research of the event and determine background information on location, attendees, and focus of event
- Provide an abstract, an outline, and background information for senior leader review and comment
- Interview senior leader for direction of speech prior to event
- Prepare and draft articles that will be published in local, national (including federal), or international periodicals such as professional journals, newspapers, magazines, or newsletters
- Prepare remarks, talking points, and toasts for USSTRATCOM Senior Leadership, 5-10 minutes in length
- Maintain an indexed archive file of all written speeches, articles, remarks, talking points, toasts, abstracts, and reference material and coordinate their public release with USSTRATCOM Public Affairs Office staff
- Required at minimum a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in English, journalism, communications, history, or political science
- At least six (6) years' experience
- Preferred ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in speech writing expertise at a senior level (elected officials, corporate leaders, General / Flag officers, appointed national leaders)
