Immediate Supervisor: Summer Camp Coordinator / Gifford Farm Coordinator
Staff Supervised: None
The position of Summer Camp Educator requires a person who enjoys working with children and creating engaging, hands‑off learning experiences. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dependable, and passionate about outdoor education and teamwork.
- No history of child abuse or negligence.
- Regular and dependable in‑person attendance is required and is considered a condition of employment.
- Successfully pass required background checks.
- Understand and comply with the ESU #3 Board of Education Personnel Policies and Employee Handbook.
- Collaborate with the Summer Camp Coordinator to plan and deliver engaging and educational summer camp programs for children.
- Facilitate hands‑on activities and experiences related to animals, agriculture, nature, and outdoor education.
- Supervise and engage with campers during activities to ensure safety, learning, and fun.
- Assist in setting up and cleaning up program areas, supplies, and materials as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the Summer Camp Coordinator and staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Provide a positive and welcoming environment for all participants.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Employment with ESU #3 is not for any period of time and may be terminated at any time at the convenience of the terminating party, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Employment with ESU #3 is not governed by any express or implied contract of employment containing terms different from or inconsistent with those stated in this job description.
