Applications are being accepted for a 7 hour per day Special Education Resource Paraprofessional position at Mission Middle School. The special education paraprofessional works under the direction and supervision of a teacher or other designated member of the school staff. The paraprofessional helps special education students acquire the skills and competencies taught by the classroom teacher.

• Supervise and work with students one-on-one and in small groups.
• Assist the teacher in the classroom with instructional activities.
• Lifting, giving physical assistance, and providing support in the lunchroom.
• Assist with toileting, transportation, and recreational activities throughout the building.
• Attend regularly to duties assigned for the duration of the assignment.

• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of self or others.
• Capable of attending to the duties of the position on a regular basis.
