Applications are being accepted for a 7 hour per day Special Education Resource Paraprofessional position at Bellevue West High School. The special education paraprofessional works under the direction and supervision of a teacher or other designated member of the school staff. The paraprofessional helps students acquire skills and competencies taught by the classroom teacher.

• Supervises and works with students both one-on-one and in small groups when needed
• Assists the teacher in the classroom
• Lifts, gives physical assistance to students as needed
• Supports students in the lunchroom, toileting, transportation, and recreational activities throughout the building

Required qualifications:

the applicant must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others, must be capable of regularly attending the duties of the position assigned for the duration of the assignment, and is subject to a veterans preference.

Duty hours are typically Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
