Position Overview
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Middle School Severe Disabilities Teacher for an onsite, school-based role. Assignment Details
This position runs from August 13, 2026 through May 27, 2027 and follows a 37.5-hour work week. The teacher will serve a middle school caseload within a self-contained classroom designed for students with severe disabilities. Responsibilities will include implementing individualized plans and collaborating closely with support staff to meet diverse learner needs. There is one opening available, and the role is strictly onsite.
Responsibilities
The teacher will develop and deliver individualized instruction aligned with each student's IEP, using evidence-based practices tailored to varying ability levels. Daily duties include monitoring student progress, adapting curriculum, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines. The role also involves collaboration with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to ensure consistent support across environments. Establishing a safe, structured classroom that fosters communication, life skills, and social development is essential.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must hold an active teaching license with appropriate certification in special education or a related field. Experience working with students who have significant disabilities, particularly in a self-contained setting, is strongly preferred. Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive hourly pay range of $30-$40, based on experience and qualifications.
