Applications are being accepted for a 6 hour per day Early Childhood Special Education Paraprofessional position at Betz Elementary School. Duties include working with students in small groups and individually under the direction of the teacher. The candidate must be able to lift, give physical assistance when necessary; assist in lunchroom responsibilities, toileting, transportation, and in recreational activities. Requires 48 hrs of college credit (6 of those in Early Childhood Education).
The candidate must complete an additional 6 hours of college credit in Early Childhood Education within a year of hire date. Required qualifications are that the applicant does not pose a direct threat to health or safety of oneself or others, with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned and for the duration of the assignment.
This position is subject to a veterans preference. Duty hours are typically Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
