Special Ed Teacher - Bellevue, Nebraska

This contract opportunity runs from August 13, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and offers the chance to collaborate within a committed school community near Bellevue, NE.

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (SPED) required
• Experience teaching or supporting middle school students, especially in self-contained special education environments
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs), behavior intervention strategies, and adapting curriculum for students with significant needs
• Patience, compassion, and a collaborative approach to working with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, positive classroom where every student is empowered to achieve their potential

• Teach and manage a self-contained middle school classroom for students with severe disabilities
• Develop, implement, and document IEPs, academic, and behavioral goals tailored to each learner
• Collaborate closely with related service providers, counselors, and support staff
• Foster a supportive, safe, and structured environment for engagement and growth
• Communicate regularly with families to share progress, address concerns, and celebrate student successes
• Maintain thorough records and provide input for program improvement
