Paraprofessional / IA
Applications are being accepted for a 7 hour per day Special Education Resource Paraprofessional Behavior Interventionist position at Fort Crook Elementary. The paraprofessional works under the direction and supervision of a teacher or other designated staff member. The paraprofessional helps special education students acquire skills and competencies taught by the classroom teacher. Duties include supervising and working with students one-on-one and in small groups, assisting the teacher in the classroom, lifting and providing physical assistance, assisting in the lunchroom, and with toileting, transportation, and recreational activities in all areas of the building.
Requirements: the applicant must not pose a direct threat to health or safety of themselves or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position for the duration of the assignment. Duty hours are typically Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The position includes a $2.85 per hour shift differential.
