Salary Rate$72,537 - $94,303
In this position, you will fulfill the day‑to‑day functions associated with the operations and maintenance of two Nuclear Command and Control Communications System (NC2) terminals;
Aircraft Alerting Communication System AACE, Single Channel Anti‑Jam Portable (SCAMP), Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal (ASNT) and training system, five series of Cryptographic equipment, subsystems and associated equipment, Secure Telephone Equipment, and Non‑Harden Klaxon system. Apply comprehensive knowledge of electronics principles and theory to align, maintain, test, modify, overhaul, diagnose, and repair satellite and cryptographic communication equipment. Perform complex analysis and evaluation of communications link, trunk and circuit problems on satellite links traversing the station.
Diagnose local as well as distant end problems.

- This position requires a physical medical examination. The physical requirements of this position as determined by the manager are:
Must not be 100% color blind and must possess ability to work with power tools. - Comprehensive knowledge of standards operating electronics principles such as timing circuits, high power amplifiers, microminiaturized digital and solid‑state integrated circuits, transistor, diodes, antenna, signal transmission, oscillation, and low noise amplification.
- In‑depth knowledge of Cryptographic equipment, to diagnose and determine when communications and control circuits and equipment is to be removed from service. Proficient in replacing and configuring equipment to restore interruptions of priority communications.
- Knowledge of IT standards and equipment sufficient to install, configure and test network components such as servers, switches, and network interface devices.
- Extensive knowledge to troubleshoot and repair all malfunctions where circuit theory must be used to understand the complex operations of individual circuits and the interaction of other circuits that create a malfunction.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain IT certification IA W DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification requirement.
- This is a Mission‑Essential position performing a Mission‑Critical‑Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence.
