Job Description

Position Overview Spiral Solutions & Technologies, Inc. (SS&T) is seeking a Joint Force Air Component Command (JFACC) Exercise Operations SME to support the United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Joint Exercises, Training, and Assessment Directorate (J7). The JFACC Exercise Operations SME provides operational air component expertise in support of USSTRATCOM/J7 joint exercise planning, development, execution, and analysis. This position supports the design of exercise scenarios and implementers, participation in exercise planning work groups, development of exercise documentation, support to exercise control structures, and after-action reporting activities aligned to command training objectives and end-to-end joint operations processes.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
• Provide on-site support and assistance to plan, develop, execute, and analyze joint exercises.
• Assist in the development, coordination, and management of exercise plans of action and milestones to track key actions and deliverable dates for each designated event's life cycle.
• Support planning, coordination, and milestone conferences including the Concept Development Conference, Initial Planning Conference, Main Planning Conference, Final Planning Conference, Master Scenario Event List Development Conference, Scenario Development Conference, and MSEL Synchronization Conference.
• Chair planning work groups as determined by the event Lead Planner and Branch Chief and incorporate identified training objectives into exercise scenario design.
• Develop master scenario events and implementers for accomplishment of training objectives, including simulated message traffic, emergency action messages, e-mails, media reports, orders, requests for forces, and related exercise products.
• Assist the Government in developing, preparing, publishing, distributing, and archiving joint exercise documents including the Joint Event Life Cycle, Exercise Initiating Directive, Exercise Directive, Exercise Plan, Senior Leader Guides, Joint Manning Document, and related products.
• Assist in developing Joint Exercise Control Group architecture, manning, concept of operations, equipment requirements, and operational support for each exercise event.
• Design, plan, and execute joint exercise events including tabletop exercises, rehearsal of concept drills, senior leader discussions, seminars, and wargaming-related activities.
• Support after-action analysis, evaluation, observations collection, lessons learned, and reporting for exercises and real-world events.
• Attend command boards, bureaus, centers, cells, and working groups and support branch technical, administrative, and coordination activities.

Required Qualifications
• Ability to speak authoritatively on all aspects of weapons systems operations including mission planning, generation procedures, deployment procedures, weapons system employment tactics, and publishing daily operations orders.
• At least 9 years of experience with Joint doctrine and planning processes, as well as end-to-end operations and processes from National-level decision making through Unit-level execution.
• Prior job experience working at or coordinating with USSTRATCOM JFACC.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting Combatant Command-level joint exercise planning, execution, and after-action analysis.
• Experience developing scenario events, exercise implementers, or exercise control products in an air component or joint exercise environment.
• Experience supporting Joint Exercise Control Group operations or command-level training events. Summary Security Clearance Requirements This position supports classified programs and requires access to classified systems and material. All contractor personnel must be United States citizens and possess a Top-Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information, Nuclear Command and Control/Extremely Sensitive Information, and Special Access Program access prior to commencing work.
