AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking Systems Support Specialist II personnel to support the NISSC 3 program at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska
. These positions deliver technical and operational support for multiple mission systems by providing onsite and oncall coverage for system administration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and user support in a TS/SCI environment. The Systems Support Specialists will help ensure system availability, data integrity, and high quality process and incident documentation.
- Provide onsite and on call system administration and operational support for multiple mission systems at Offutt AFB.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and system performance issues affecting mission operations.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, including applying patches, updates, configuration changes, and performance tuning.
- Provide responsive user support and training for system access, basic operations, and issue resolution.
- Collect, maintain, and update operational logs, incident and deficiency reports, and checklists in accordance with program and security standards.
- Perform incident response, including initial triage, escalation, coordination with higher tier support, and closure documentation.
- Execute backup and restore operations to ensure data integrity, availability, and continuity of operations.
- Support system administration and basic database support tasks as needed to maintain operational environments.
- Oversee procedural compliance and ensure all records, logs, and reports meet required operational, security, and audit standards.
- Act as a technical resource for performance optimization, data integrity, role continuity, and support of management status reporting.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in systems or network administration, systems support, or similar technical roles in secure, mission critical (DoD or similar) environments.
- Expertise in system administration and troubleshooting for multiple mission systems.
- Strong skills in preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure system availability and operational readiness.
- Experience providing responsive user support and training.
- Proficiency in managing process documentation, incident response, and operational logs to maintain data integrity.
- Ability to act as a technical resource for performance optimization and to oversee compliance with procedural and documentation standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, OR Equivalent DoD/Military training in systems administration, network operations, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum:
Active TS/SCI clearance required to start. - Holds a DoD 8140 qualifying certification; one or more of the following (or equivalent) is required/preferred:
Cloud+, GSEC, Security+, SSCP.
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $80,000.00/Yr.
- USD $/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
