Summary
Under the general supervision of the Refrigeration Manager, performs a variety of routine or technical duties. Locates and diagnoses failures and performs basic troubleshooting on refrigeration equipment while keeping Safety, Quality, Service, and Profitability in mind at all times.

- Inspect all refrigeration equipment to ensure operation within specified range.
- Possess basic knowledge of the elements of electricity.
- Perform daily inspection of high and low-pressure boilers.
- Use hand-held temperature probe to conduct temperature checks at least once per shift/day to verify computer readings.
- Manually record readings from daily rounds and work on special projects as needed.
- Repair and replace electrical components as necessary.
- Assist with or perform preventive maintenance (PM) using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and M-Pulse printouts.
- Ensure all record keeping is accurate and maintain Refrigeration Maintenance records, including digital/electronic documentation.
- Maintain good morale and positive attitudes among hourly associates.

- Ability to maintain concentration while performing tasks over extended periods.
- Proven ability to facilitate change and manage conflict.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of all elements of electricity and refrigeration.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, along with plant equipment.
High School Diploma or High School Equivalence Certificate preferred. 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility maintenance environment.
Language SkillsAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to speak effectively with employees and management.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to perform basic math calculations.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited experience exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands- Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, climb or climb stairs; and lift.
- Must be able to work in a refrigerated climate.
- Must be able to use both hands to perform necessary repairs and installations.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
- Must be able to distinguish colors to safely identify electrical wiring.
- Stand and walk on concrete floors.
- Able to work in adverse and refrigerated temperatures.
- Able to lift 50-70 lbs. unassisted.
- May be exposed to high-pitched electrical noise and temperatures exceeding 100 degrees.
