The Bellevue Food Pantry
, a program of Eastern Nebraska Community Action Partnership (ENCAP), is seeking a compassionate, organized, and service-minded Food Pantry Operations & Support Specialist to help provide essential food assistance and support services to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
This dynamic position combines client services, food pantry operations, donation coordination, volunteer engagement, and community outreach activities. The successful candidate will also receive cross-training to provide backup support within ENCAP's Support Services Program.

What You'll Do Client Services- Welcome clients and visitors in a professional, compassionate manner.
- Verify eligibility and assist with intake documentation.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and return messages promptly.
- Connect clients with food pantry services and community resources.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive client information.
- Stock shelves and prepare pantry orders.
- Assist clients with loading food and supplies.
- Receive, inspect, sort, and organize donated food and household items.
- Maintain accurate records and enter data into agency systems.
- Support a safe, clean, and organized pantry environment.
- Coordinate donation pickups and deliveries.
- Assist with receiving and distributing food and pantry supplies.
- Operate agency vehicles for donation pickups and client deliveries as needed.
- Support home-delivery services for eligible clients.
- Communicate effectively with donors, volunteers, community partners, and staff.
- Support volunteers during pantry operations.
- Assist with outreach events, food drives, and special community activities.
- Represent ENCAP at community events and partner engagements.
- Help with event setup, transportation of materials, and cleanup.
- Participate in occasional evening or weekend events.
- Cross-train and assist with Support Services program functions.
- Provide data entry, referral assistance, and client support activities.
Help maintain program continuity during staff absences or periods of increased demand.
