Job DescriptionThis position requires a valid RN license.
- The School Nurse provides nursing care to and promotes safety and wellness of students and staff.
- Interprets medical terminology to other professional staff.
- Plans appropriate procedures for following medical advice.
- Maintains records of health services and immunization records according to state requirements.
- Screen all students to identify and prevent health problems.
- Interprets public health policies to restrict the spread of communicable disease.
- Consults with parents regarding their children’s health needs.
- Provides instruction to others in health practices.
- Directs, supervises, and assesses the health duties as performed by the health aide.
- This position is subject to a veterans preference.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree preferred.
