Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Hillcrest Communities

Service Line: Hillcrest Health & Living

Schedule: Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN | Days, Evenings, and Overnights Available

Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for compassionate, dependable, and clinically strong Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our teams across our Hillcrest communities.

What You’ll Do

As an RN or LPN
, you will provide clinical nursing care to residents and patients while supporting the daily operations of the nursing team. You will help identify each person’s strengths, support independence, and partner with the care team to deliver thoughtful, resident-centered care.

You will:

  • Provide safe, compassionate nursing care based on each resident’s individualized plan of care.
  • Complete prescribed treatments and ensure medications are administered timely, privately, and according to facility procedures.
  • Use electronic medication administration and clinical documentation systems accurately.
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate team members.
  • Support skin integrity by following skin-care policies, completing skin rounds, and documenting accurately.
  • Complete weekly assessments and other required documentation in a timely, accurate, and concise manner.
  • Review and update care plans as resident needs, conditions, or goals change.
  • Complete admission care plans and support smooth transitions of care.
  • Partner with nurse techs, medication aides, therapy, providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure care is completed.
  • Attend daily huddles and collaborate with neighborhood or community team members to support resident needs.
  • Use clinical judgment and tools such as INTERACT to help manage changes in resident condition.
  • Participate in nurse meetings, facility in-services, competencies, and ongoing professional development.
  • Help create a positive, safe, and supportive environment for residents, families, and team members.

Ideal candidates will have:
  • An active RN or LPN license in Nebraska or a compact state.
  • A strong focus on resident care, safety, and quality outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills with residents, families, providers, and team members.
  • Ability to stay organized and respond calmly when priorities change.
  • Strong attention to detail with documentation, medication administration, and follow-through.
  • A collaborative, team-first approach to nursing care.
  • Confidence leading and supporting the nursing team during assigned shifts.
  • Previous long-term care, post-acute, hospital, senior living, or similar experience preferred.
Education & Credentials
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
  • Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license in Nebraska or a compact state required.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association required.
