Summary

The Donation Center Support Associate provides front‑line operational support for the Ponca Pathways brick‑and‑mortar donation center. This role is responsible for assisting with donation intake, sorting, basic inventory preparation, and maintaining a welcoming and organized donation environment. The position supports Ponca Pathways’ mission by ensuring donated goods are handled efficiently and respectfully, helping generate revenue that supports workforce development, job training, and economic opportunity for Ponca Tribal members.

This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with the public, staying organized, and contributing to a community‑centered nonprofit operation.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
  • Greet donors and provide friendly, professional customer service during donation drop‑offs.
  • Accept, sort, and process donated items according to established donation guidelines and quality standards.
  • Assist with transporting donated items from community place donation bins to donation center.
  • Assist with tagging, labeling, and organizing donated goods for resale or storage.
  • Support basic inventory tracking by assisting with donation logs and preparing items (photography and staging) for transfer to e‑commerce or retail operations.
  • Assist with Community Donation Drive events and retail pop‑ups including setup, donor flow, and breakdown.
  • Assist with social media management including posting to Facebook and Instagram feeds.
  • Process and ship customer orders placed on e‑commerce site in a timely manner.
  • Follow all safety, cleanliness, and operational procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Represent Ponca Pathways and PEDCO in a professional and respectful manner at all times.
  • Represent the values of the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska and PEDCO.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift and move donated items (up to 30 pounds).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience managing a warehouse/receiving dock.
  • Ability to manage and process a large inventory flow of up to 100 units/day.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with editing software.
  • Willing to learn skills needed to accommodate an eCommerce store.
  • Availability to work during normal business hours with possible needs outside of those times.
  • Successful completion of drug screen and motor vehicle/criminal background check.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
