Broadband Technicians (Bellevue, Omaha metro and more locations)

Great Plains Communications is growing! We are seeking experienced Broadband Technicians for the Bellevue/Omaha Metro area locations (see below). In this role, you will install and repair internet, phone, and TV services for business and residential customers while acting as a brand ambassador to provide exceptional customer experience.

  Bellevue, Omaha, Fremont, Blair, Norfolk, Wayne, West Point, Osmond, Wakefield & Ponca, NE
• Experience:
  
  1–7 years in a relevant field
• Able to work rotating weekend shifts and on-call (required)

• Network Services:
  Perform installation, splicing, and repair of internet, phone, and TV services over coax, copper, and fiber systems.
• Systems Maintenance:
  Help maintain mainline coax and fiber systems to ensure high performance.
• Customer Success:
  Actively promote company products and services while delivering outstanding support.
• Administrative:
  Interpret and complete staking sheets, work orders, maps, and cable counts.
• Logistics & Safety:
  Operate company vehicles and equipment, work non-standard hours (including nights, weekends, call-outs), and travel for training when needed.

• Experience:
  
  1-7 years of related experience with a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Basic knowledge of electronics and testing equipment (EXFO light meters, volt-ohm meters). Fiber fusion splicing and provisioning experience is a plus, but training is provided.
• Physical Aptitude:
  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, operate bucket trucks, dig, and maneuver in crawl spaces and attics.
• Requirements: A valid driver's license, good driving record, and comfortable working outside under various weather conditions.
• Soft Skills:
  
  Strong verbal/written communication, troubleshooting, typing, and customer relations skills.
