We are seeking an 8‑hour per day Mechanic for the Transportation building. Candidates must have a minimum of one year’s experience as a mechanic or inspector in truck or bus maintenance at a commercial garage, fleet leasing company, or similar facility. ASE certification is preferred but not required.
The Mechanic maintains and inspects all vehicles owned and/or operated by the school district, maintains a safe shop and safe, economically operating vehicles, and supervises and performs repairs and maintenance on all vehicles.
Required qualifications:
applicant must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of self or others and must be capable of regularly attending to all duties assigned. The position is subject to a veterans preference.
