Responsibilities- Derive and allocate requirements into detailed design
- Design, develop, and test displays, controls and functionality
- Collaborate with Systems and Quality Engineers to ensure software requirements are met
- Perform software peer reviews, version control, automated tests, software analysis, continuous integration and continuous delivery in accordance with Dev Sec Ops processes
- Perform code quality management and correct defects
- Coordinate with HW/SW team to perform retests and regression tests once defects are corrected
- Previous practical experience bridging requirements into software design and implementation, including work in DOORs and architecture models into code
- Experience with build automation tools such as Jenkins or Git Lab
- Experience working on cross‑function Scrum teams focused on quality and capability delivery
- Experience with C/C++ development
- Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops , continuous integration, and continuous delivery
- Familiarity with distributed version control software (Git, Mercurial)
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming), Scaled Agile Framework – SAFe for Lean Enterprises

The standard work schedule is 9/80, allowing employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Competitive relocation assistance may be offered.
Job QualificationsSoftware Engineer: Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience;
Master’s and 0 years of related experience; or an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Principal Software Engineer: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience;
Master’s and 3 years of related experience;
PhD with one year of related experience or an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- U.S. citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance, investigation date within the last 6 years
- Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances within a reasonable timeframe
- 2+ years of C++ development and object‑oriented design
- Experience with Agile software development
- Experience with Atlassian tool suite
- Experience with SWE development in a Linux environment
- Experience with code design documentation using UML
- Familiarity with Model‑Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and concepts
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field
- Experience with software development using a Dev Ops pipeline
- Experience with Hardware/Software interface design
- Experience with software and hardware certification/accreditation
- Experience with embedded systems
- Experience with databases (structure, design) and query languages
- Experience with real‑time operating systems
- Experience with secure software development such as DO-178C compliant or similar
- UML modeling experience using Cameo
- Experience with JavaScript, Python languages
- Experience in a formal technical lead position
Primary level: $77,200.00 – $. Secondary level: $95,300.00 – $. Salary determined by scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills and market conditions.
