Position SummarySupports activities associated with receiving, storing, shipping and inventory of materials to ensure effective and efficient customer service, operations, and material transportation. This position does require Saturday hours at various times throughout the construction season. Must abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Receives and warehouses incoming supplies and materials. Inspects merchandise for order accuracy of quantity and correct material, damages and matches PO numbers with orders and process paperwork.
- Keeps inventory stocked in designated areas to facilitate accurate and efficient inventory count and allow for storage of daily receipts.
- Determines methods of care for items received and stored to assure damage does not occur and product is available when needed.
- Conducts scheduled inventories.
- Stage product for loading.
- Assure standards are met for the warehouse to remain clean and orderly.
- Assist in rebar operations according to workflow and business needs.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Previous experience with inventory, warehouse, and/or construction products.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Forklift certification helpful; will be trained on company equipment.
- Ability to regularly lift/move 75 pounds.
- Ability to operate construction machinery/equipment.
