Overview
Seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, lead a small team, and support full-cycle financial management. This working-manager role handles month-end close, financial reporting, job costing, and compliance while providing hands-on support across AP, AR, payroll, and audits.
Responsibilities- Manage daily accounting operations and month-end close
- Prepare financial statements, cash flow, WIP schedules, and GAAP-compliant reports
- Lead and develop accounting staff; review reconciliations and journal entries
- Oversee GL accuracy, job costing, project budgets, and spending
- Support audits, tax filings, fixed asset tracking, and process improvements
- Provide backup for AP/AR, payroll, and cash receipts
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5–7+ years of experience; construction industry preferred
- Strong GAAP knowledge, full-cycle accounting, and job-costing experience
- Advanced Excel and experience with Spectrum or similar software
- Proven leadership, accuracy, integrity, and strong communication skills
