Sr. Accountant

Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant for a contract assignment to support a local client. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who excels in fast-paced environments, brings deep accounting expertise, and can deliver immediate impact during periods of growth or transition.

Responsibilities:

+ Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including reconciliations and journal entries.

+ Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules.

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.

+ Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis projects.

+ Support audits and respond to auditor requests.

+ Collaborate with cross-department teams to resolve accounting issues.

+ Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices.

Requirements

Requirements:

+ Minimum 3 years experience in accounting; prior contract or temporary roles preferred.

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

+ Advanced proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Microsoft D365, Oracle Net Suite, Quick Books, SAP, Workday).

+ Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.

+ High attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Outstanding organizational and communication abilities.

+ Ability to manage sensitive information discreetly and independently.
