Accounting Assistant

Overview

Our client is seeking an Accounting Assistant with strong analytical and communication skills to support invoice review and compliance efforts over a 6-month contract period
. This role is responsible for auditing and analyzing legal invoices to ensure adherence to outside billing guidelines and internal invoicing standards.

• Position: Accounting Assistant
• Location: Bellevue, WA (Hybrid - 3 days)
• Duration: 6-month contract
• Pay: $25-28 per hour

• Review, audit, and code legal invoices for accuracy and compliance
• Analyze law firm billing submissions to identify discrepancies, errors, or policy violations
• Document audit findings and track issues through resolution
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and law firm billing contacts to resolve invoice discrepancies
• Ensure adherence to outside counsel guidelines and internal AP processes
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to invoice audit procedures and tools

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience (auditing, analytics, research, or similar)
• Experience with accounts payable or invoice management systems
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage and resolve complex invoice discrepancies independently
• Excellent communication skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Compensation is $25-28 per hour, with potential discretionary bonuses. Eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits and participation in the company’s 401(k) retirement plan. Compensation will be determined based on skill set, experience, location, and other considerations.
