Audit and Tax Senior

Novogradac & Company LLP is searching for a Senior Accountant to join our fast‑growing firm. The role includes managing tax, audit, and other assignments with minimal supervision, supervising and mentoring staff, enhancing client relationships, and driving team profitability.

• Complete tax and/or audit projects for designated clients with minimal oversight by Managers.
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews and manage engagement tasks with increasing responsibility.
• Recognize potential problem areas during engagements and propose effective solutions.
• Gather and analyze data, interpret results, compile reports, and make recommendations.
• Develop, strengthen, and maintain client relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and a service‑oriented approach.
• Improve team profitability by managing own time and that of staff efficiently, contributing ideas and adding value.
• Supervise and mentor Staff Accountants.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
• If not already obtained, work toward obtaining a CPA license.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred; advanced degree is a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in public accounting or equivalent education and work experience.
• Ability to sit for the CPA exam or having passed a section.
• Strong understanding of accounting and tax rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Intellectual curiosity and a strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
• Open to constructive feedback and able to adjust accordingly.
• Collaborative mindset that fosters a productive, team‑oriented environment.
• Strong computer skills, especially Excel and report‑writing tools.
• Professional demeanor with coworkers and clients.
• Ability to meet internal deadlines (time entry, billing, etc.).
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and domestic travel as required.
