Head of Technical Accounting & Financial Governance
We are seeking a strategic and highly experienced Head of Technical Accounting & Financial Governance to join our Accounting Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities Lead Accounting Governance- Serve as the company’s primary authority on accounting policies, technical accounting matters and governance frameworks
- Evaluate complex transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatment
- Advise executive leadership on accounting implications of strategic initiatives
- Drive annual audit processes and transaction‑related review
- Lead technical accounting discussions with external auditors
- Prepare accounting position papers and technical memoranda
- Partner with Corporate Development, Finance Transformation, and Accounting teams to assess accounting and reporting risks
- Lead purchase accounting activities
- Coordinate valuation specialists and external advisors
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and serve as internal owner for tax governance, planning and audit support
- Oversee liquidity management and cash governance
- Manage banking relationships
- Review cash forecasting and liquidity planning
- Partner on financing activities and lender reporting
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years in a senior leadership role with a public company or a late‑stage PE‑backed private company
- Mix of Big‑4 or equivalent global audit firm and corporate accounting experience strongly preferred
- Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP with significant experience with ASC 606 and ASC 805
- SaaS or subscription business experience
- Experience supporting acquisitions and business integrations
For this role, the salary range is $190,000–$210,000 annually. The range may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will consider factors including skills, qualifications and experience.
