Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for a Contract position based in Bellevue, Washington. This role will manage core financial activities, including payables, receivables, payroll, and account reconciliation, while helping maintain accurate and timely records. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on bookkeeping experience and is comfortable working with established accounting systems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and coordinate timely payments to maintain accurate accounts payable records.

- Prepare and issue customer invoices, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on collections to support healthy accounts receivable activity.

- Administer payroll tasks with a high level of accuracy, ensuring employee payments and related records are completed on schedule.

- Reconcile bank accounts and other financial records regularly to identify discrepancies and keep ledgers current.

- Maintain organized bookkeeping documentation and update accounting entries to support month-to-month financial accuracy.

- Assist with daily accounting operations using Great Plains and provide support for accounting activities related to the transition to Sage Intacct and Bamboo, as needed.

Requirements - Proven detail-focused experience in bookkeeping with a strong understanding of general accounting processes.

- Practical knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll administration.

- Experience performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Great Plains accounting software.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks with accuracy.

- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a contract role within a team environment.
