Title: Payroll and Accounts Payable Administrator
Reports to: Controller
Supervises: N/A
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job SummaryThis role involves hands-on work across Finance and Operations, with tasks that vary daily. The successful candidate will establish, run, and evolve the processes and tools used to manage payroll and accounts payable (A/P). You will work with the management team to develop and run efficient administration of payroll, employee and benefits administration, communications, financial reporting, and other accounting operations. The Payroll and Accounts Payable Administrator will identify and implement improvements and establish repeatable processes to help scale back-office capabilities.
SpecificResponsibilities
- Assist employee time reporting process and prepare payroll
- Work with third-party payroll service to run payroll; audit for accuracy
- Process non-U.S. global payroll
- Analyze and report on employee PTO accruals
- Employee bonus calculation and processing
- Assist with employee and billable expenses
- Process state and local payroll and business taxes
- Accounts Payable for vendor and subcontractor payments
- Reconcile monthly credit card statements
- Report on A/P aging
- Process journal entries into the company’s accounting system (Deltek Vantagepoint)
- Create financial reports and assist in gathering inputs for regular management reviews
- Maintain Red Cloud employee information currency as it relates to compensation, benefits, withholding, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or experience
- Demonstrated a minimum of 3 years of similar experience in a professional office environment
- Highly autonomous, highly organized, and self-motivated
- Collaborative, able, and willing to work well with a combination of personnel of varying levels, knowledge, and skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with valued customers and experienced employees
- Advanced knowledge of Excel; strong knowledge of other Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Intermediate knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting, finance, forecasting, and budgeting concepts and practices
- Intermediate knowledge of accounting systems; technically savvy. Bonus if any experience with Deltek Vantage Point
- Knowledge of current and evolving federal/state/local payroll compliance
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to track and execute on multiple initiatives, work under tight deadlines, and reprioritize quickly
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify core drivers behind the numbers
- Solid attention to detail
- Professional dress and presentation
- Hybrid available. Required to be in the office at least two days a week (minimum of Mondays & Wednesdays)
The compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 annually.
