Overview

Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

A successful candidate will be an effective communicator working with internal teams, AFN network, and leadership. They will help manage day-to-day operational requirements while contributing to improvements in key supply chain metrics such as cost, speed, and efficiency. They will help establish and scale operational networks from the ground up, including logistics lanes, defining SLAs, and processes to support global expansion.

Flexibility and the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment will be essential. The individual in this role will proactively identify risks, implement mitigation plans, and optimize fulfillment processes, particularly in regions where Amazon does not currently operate. They will develop strong and collaborative relationships with internal partners to ensure seamless execution while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

job responsibilities
  • Manage supply chain operations across fulfillment, transportation, and forward and reverse logistics

  • Develop and implement an operational network from the ground up, setting up logistics lanes, defining SLAs, and establishing scalable processes to support global expansion

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal partners to ensure operational alignment

  • Define and monitor key supply chain KPIs such as cost, speed, efficiency, on-time performance, and fulfillment rates, to drive continuous improvement

  • Establish and lead Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs) to track performance, address bottlenecks, and implement data-driven optimizations.

  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively solve supply chain challenges, particularly in regions where Amazon does not currently operate

  • Work cross-functionally to enhance supply chain performance

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

About the team

The Inventory & Fulfillment Technology (IFT) team is responsible for building and optimizing the global supply chain network that powers Amazon’s fulfillment and logistics operations. Our mission is to ensure the efficient, cost-effective, and timely movement of goods, from inventory management to fulfillment, across all regions. Amazon IFT focuses on developing scalable solutions to enhance operational efficiency, including transportation, logistics, and reverse logistics, to support Amazon’s rapidly expanding footprint.

We work closely with internal partners across the organization to design, implement, and continuously improve processes that enable Amazon to fulfill customer orders faster and more cost-effectively. By leveraging advanced technologies, data analytics, and cross-functional collaboration, the IFT team plays a critical role in Amazon’s global supply chain strategy.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • 5+ years of supply chain experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
