Position: Employee Benefits Account Manager

About the Position

The Account Manager is the day‑to‑day contact on the Sales Team for existing clients, ensuring their needs are met while renewing and expanding current client contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage broker and employer client relationships and develop new business from existing clients.
  • Work with carrier partners to provide ongoing support to brokers and clients and refer service problems and questions for resolution.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of long‑lasting partnerships.
  • Manage the annual renewal process.
  • Conduct enrollment meetings and attend meetings with brokers/clients as necessary.
  • Identify and develop cross‑sell opportunities.
  • Track key account/market metrics and prepare reports for management.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual targets.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the quoting process for assigned market(s).
  • Participate in meetings as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to U.S. healthcare and renewals.
  • Identify and report issues and opportunities for improvement related to processes and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to renewal processes, including reports, metrics, and improvement plans.
  • Support and sustain a positive work environment that fosters team performance through own work and behavior.
  • Perform special tasks and assignments as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s/college degree in any field; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
  • At least 3 years’ experience as an Account Manager or Account Coordinator.
  • At least 3 years’ experience specializing in U.S. health insurance or employee benefits.
  • Must have or be willing and able to obtain a life and health insurance license in the state of residence.
  • Detail‑oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and problem‑solving.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks to completion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Travel Requirements

Travel may be required for special events and meetings, not to exceed 25% of the time.

Salary Transparency

Total on‑target earnings (OTE) for the position are $60,000–$80,000, influenced by skills, experience, and location.
