Primary Purpose
The Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that tactical trade compliance functions are executed efficiently and effectively. Key responsibilities include reviewing suppliers' Free Trade Agreement documentation (e.g., USMCA certifications and Certificates of Origin), generating ChemPoint FTAs, entering and maintaining trade data, conducting export sales order audits, and responding to internal and external customer inquiries via email and ChemPoint's internal systems.
WhatYou'll Do
- Fulfill customer requests and corresponding requests to suppliers
- Ensure company product data and order processing records are complete and effectively maintained
- Maintain and improve team processes and supporting documentation
- Identify gaps in process and supporting technology
- Assist with small scale efforts to ensure regulatory compliance
- Interact with Customer Solutions and Sales teams to manage customer expectations
- Perform other related duties as required or requested
- Associate or bachelor's degree from fully accredited four-year institution or equivalent experience preferred.
- Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite; strong Excel skills preferred
- Solid verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey ideas and suggestions via multiple modes of communication
- Exhibits versatility and adaptability while interacting with customers, suppliers and outsourced relationships
- Ability to work well independently as well as within a team environment
- Demonstrates sound judgment and critical thinking
This is a hybrid role in Bellevue, WA
Pay and Benefits- The salary range for this position is $63,000 - $73,000 annually.
- The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
